Premise: Escaping through his bedroom window, into the flowerbed, Allan Karlsson makes his getaway. And so begins his picaresque and unlikely journey involving criminals, several murders, a suitcase full of cash, and incompetent police. As his escapades unfold, Allan's earlier life is revealed. A life in which - remarkably - he played a key role behind the scenes in some of the momentous events of the twentieth century.

I adore this book. Its fast paced, funny, takes many remarkable turns....honestly just read it and you'll understand! It's an all round good book and one I wholly recommend, especially for those wanting to get into reading again. This needs to be on everyone's reading list!!!
