REVIEW: Slated Trilogy (Teri Terry)

Series: Slated Trilogy
Author: Teri Terry
My rating: 5/5

Premise: Kyla's memory had been erased, her personality wiped blank, her memories lost for ever. She's been slated. The government claims she was a terrorist and that they are giving her a second chance - as long as she plays by their rules. But echoes of the past whisper in Kyla's mind. Someone is lying to her, and nothing is as it seems. Who can she trust in her search for the truth?

As a teenager, I loved a good dystopian future, and I found the whole concept of this series interesting. Kyla doesn't remember what she did to deserve her memories being taken and she's being monitored in case she relapses. The books explores the rehabilitation of the young people who are slated, and throughs up questions about their pasts, about the friends and family they've been forced to leave behind, and it questions whether some things (memories, learned traits) can be kept. The whole series kept me on my toes and kept me wanting more! A really good YA series that I'd even recommend to adults!
