REVIEW: A Court of Mist and Fury (Sarah J. Maas)

Book: A Court of Mist and Fury
Author: Sarah J Maas
My rating: 4/5.

Premise: Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, she can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people or her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

After the end of A Court of Thorns and Roses, I was reluctant to read the next book, especially when I'd read a spoiler in the blurb of the third book. But this was exactly what I needed. Mist and Fury explores how happy the "happy ending" of the first book was. The story focuses on mental health, the different ways people are affected and how they overcome these problems. It also highlights the importance of having healthy relationships and friendships. This being said, there was a good amount of plot and action going on as well, keeping you turning the pages. Very happy I read this - can't wait for the last book!
