REVIEW: The Body in the Library (Agatha Christie)

Book: The Body in the Library
Author: Agatha Christie
My rating: 3.5/5.

Premise: It’s seven in the morning. The Bantrys wake to find the body of a young woman in their library. But who is she? How did she get there? And what is the connection with another dead girl, whose charred remains are later discovered in an abandoned quarry? The respectable Bantrys invite Miss Marple to solve the mystery… before tongues start to wag.

I love a good Agatha Christie novel. The woman was a genius and this book was another cracker! There were a handful of characters, each with their own motives and alibis that honestly, when the reveal happened I put the book down and went "wow". Yet again, Miss Marple manages to crack the whole case on such a small detail - but it's not ridiculous, more something that you might get yourself if you though about it long enough. My only disappointment was that, yet again, Miss Marple isn't the main character or the only detective we follow. However, this allows you to focus more on the story, giving you different aspects and more clues than you would just following one detective. Another cracking novel!
