REVIEW: The Hating Game (Sally Thorne)

Book: The Hating Game
Author: Sally Thorne
My rating: 3/5.

Premise: Lucy Hutton has always been loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for cold, impeccably Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual. Lucy can’t let Joshua beat her at anything—especially when a huge new promotion goes up for the taking. If Lucy wins this game, she’ll be Joshua’s boss. If she loses, she’ll resign. But maybe Lucy Hutton doesn’t hate Joshua Templeman. And maybe, he doesn’t hate her either. Or maybe this is just another game.

This was just what I wanted - a light, fluffy read. Sure it was predictable but that didn't make it any less enjoyable. At times, I found the main character frustrating. It was obvious how she felt and he felt, but she just couldn't see it. She was also self-sabotaging at times. There were a couple of moments when she stood up for herself or for others, which had me cheering her on. Overall, a light and warming book.
