REVIEW: How to Find Love in a Bookshop (Veronica Henry)
Author: Veronica Henry
My rating: 3/5.
Premise: Emilia has just returned to her Cotswold hometown to rescue the family business, Nightingale Books. But it's customers also have stories to tell. There's the lady of the manor with a burning secret; the single dad who isn't quite what he seems; and the chef trying to find the courage to talk to her crush. And as for Emilia's story, can she keep the promise she made to her father and save Nightingale Books?
This was a sweet book. It's not my normal read but I was just in the mood for something light and fluffy. There are a number of characters in the town who all have a connection to the bookshop. Each of the characters seem to have their own love story going on, whether it's stepping up to being a father, asking out a crush, having an affair, rekindling an old flame. I liked this mix of relationships and it meant you were rooting for pretty much everyone! Reading this was like a hug in book form.
