REVIEW: Horrorstör (Grady Hendrix)

Book: Horrorstör
Author: Grady Hendrix

Premise: Something strange is happening at the Orsk furniture superstore in Cleveland, Ohio. Every morning, employees arrive to find broken bookshelves, shattered glasses and smashed wardrobes. To unravel the mystery, three employees volunteer to work a nine-hour dusk-till-dawn shift...and encounter horrors that defy the imagination.

This was such a fun concept that was brilliantly executed. The story is a classic haunted house but set in a knock off IKEA. It was fast paced and actually had me nervous to turn the light off! What makes this book is the design. It's set up like a catalogue for the fictional shop, including a floor map, discount vouchers and other Easter eggs. Honestly, it's worth a read just to witness this masterpiece of book design!
