REVIEW: Lord Edgware Dies (Agatha Christie)
Author: Agatha Christie
Premise: It's true; Hercule Poirot had been present when Jane Wilkinson bragged of her plan to ‘get rid of’ her estranged husband, Lord Edgware. Now the man was dead. And yet the great Belgian detective couldn’t help feeling that he was being taken for a ride.
I needed this book to bring me out of my slump. I'm a huge fan of the queen of crime and I love Poirot stories in particular. Christie managed to weave so many different elements together to keep you guessing but also tying it up into one satisfying conclusion. Smug moment for me: early on in the book I did think "I wonder if it was this person who did it" and I was right! Alice 1 - 14 Agatha 🤦♀️
