REVIEW: Dumb Witness (Agatha Christie)

Book: Dumb Witness
Author: Agatha Christie

Premise: Everyone blamed Emily Arundell’s accident on a rubber ball left on the stairs by her dog. But the more she thought about it, the more convinced she became that one of her relatives was trying to kill her. She wrote about her suspicions in a letter to Hercule Poirot. But by the time he received it, Emily was already dead.

We all know the score here: I'm a Christie fan. This one is your classic "which family member killed the old grandma" story. It was an interesting premise and a fun read. I'll even be so smug as to say I worked out who it was before the reveal (GO ME!).

One thing I found tedious was Hastings constantly trying to tell Poirot he was being silly and overthinking. Maybe I've just read enough of these books to know that one does not question Poirot! But still, wasn't enough to dampen my enjoyment.
