REVIEW: The Satsuma Complex (Bob Mortimer)
Book: The Satsuma Complex
Author: Bob Mortimer
Premise: Gary Thorn goes for a pint with a work acquaintance called Brendan. When Brendan leaves early, Gary meets a girl in the pub. When she suddenly disappears, all Gary has to remember her by is the book she was reading: The Satsuma Complex. But when Brendan goes missing, Gary needs to track down the girl he now calls Satsuma to get some answers.
I had high hopes for this book but it really let me down. It had traces of Bob Mortimer's humour so I wonder if I'd have enjoyed it more as an audiobook read by the author himself. The writing was basic and a bit dull if I'm honest. The plot was also mediocre. Overall, not the best.
