REVIEW: The Nine Tailors (Dorothy L Sayers)
Book: The Nine Tailors
Author: Dorothy L Sayers
Premise: When his sexton finds a corpse in the wrong grave, the rector of Fenchurch St Paul asks Lord Peter Wimsey to find out who the dead man was and how he came to be there.
This is my first Dorothy L Sayers book and I really enjoyed it. It's a murder mystery set in a small village in the Fens. The mystery was full of twists and you don't find out who the murderer is until right at the very end. Some parts I guessed but some I didn't.
I first heard of this book when I started bell ringing aged 10. You could tell a lot of research went into this book as it was full of bellringing lore. Even little things like the chapter headings were based on bellringing terminology but also linked to the story. All very clever and the ringing references made me very happy!
