REVIEW: The Moving Finger (Agatha Christie)

Book: The Moving Finger
Author: Agatha Christie

Premise: Nothing ever happens in the sleepy village of Lymstock. Until letters accusing the villagers of unspeakable acts start to appear. They try to dismiss them as a cruel hoax, but then one of the recipients is found dead. As fear spreads among the villagers, Jane Marple must uncover who is writing these letters – before anyone else is hurt.

This book was a rather gentle mystery, albeit not my favourite. There is a lot of set up and no one suspects a death was murder until a second body turns up. Miss Marple doesn't make an appearance until the last 50 pages of the book, which left me feeling like she was added at last minute to solve everything. There was a good twist and I did fall for some of the red herrings. An OK story.
