REVIEW: Sleeping Murder (Agatha Christie)
Book: Sleeping Murder
Author: Agatha Christie
Premise: Soon after Gwenda moved into her new home, odd things started to happen. Despite her best efforts to modernize the house, she only succeeded in dredging up its past. In fear, Gwenda turned to Miss Marple. Have they dredged up a “perfect” crime committed many years before?
I really enjoyed this one. The two leads are Gwenda and her husband Giles. Miss Marple is there throughout, helping to point them (and the reader) in the right direction. I liked the premise of a crime committed years ago, witnessed only by a child and recalled subconsciously. There was a good deal of mystery and the right amount of jeopardy. Very good story and I'm still feeling smug having worked out who the killer was.
