REVIEW: They Do It With Mirrors (Agatha Christie)
Author: Agatha Christie
Premise: Jane Marple decides it’s time to pay a visit to an old friend at Stonygates house. But this grand Victorian mansion isn’t just a family home – it’s also a correctional facility for wayward young men. And when something terrible does indeed happen, Miss Marple must face her most eccentric cast of suspects yet.
This is your classic murder mystery set in a big old house and the murderer is one of the residents. In this Marple novel, we stick close to Miss Marple, with some deviations when the inspector arrives. This means, as the reader, we get to be detectives and we're guided by Miss Marple's interactions and observations - a slight change from Poirot, who keeps his cards close to his chest. This story was just what I needed and it was a clever "solution" to the mystery.
