REVIEW: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow (Gabrielle Zevin)
Book: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow
Author: Gabrielle Zevin
Premise: On a cold December day, Sam Masur calls to Sadie Green across the subway. From that moment, a legendary collaboration begins, that will launch them to stardom. Sam and Sadie are brilliant, successful, and rich, but these qualities won't protect them from their own creative ambitions or the betrayals of their hearts.
This is the story of two friends building video games, following their careers during the 90s and early 00s. There's a lot of video game nostalgia in this book, but you don't have to be a gamer to enjoy it. The underlying story is one of friendship and relationships, the ups and downs, betrayal and forgiveness. It's raw humanity in a novel. There's sadness and points where you just want the characters to talk to each other. But overall, it's a really, really good book.
