REVIEW: Graveyard Shift (M.L. Rio)

Book: Graveyard Shift
Author: M.L. Rio

Premise: Every night, in the college’s ancient cemetery, five people cross paths as they work the late shift. One evening, they find a hole that wasn’t there before. A fresh, open grave where no grave should be. But who dug it, and for whom?

This is a novella that takes place over one night. It's a mystery around who's been digging in the graveyard and why. But it's also an ode to the insomniacs and others awake at night. The five characters are very different people who know each other through this shared nocturnal loneliness. I really enjoyed the story and, as with any good novella, would've liked it to have been longer!
