REVIEW: Grim Tidings (B.K. Borison)

Book: Grim Tidings
Author: B.K. Borison

Premise: When Darcy shows up to Gabriel’s faded old bar, she is hell-bent on outrunning her reputation as a villainous Grim Reaper. She won’t be dragging her next assignment to the underworld, she’ll save him instead. But Gabriel is convinced that Darcy is as deadly as it gets and will protect his people no matter what.

A romance between grim reaper tired of death and an overly protective guardian angel? Sounds perfect. I'm a sucker for B.K. Borison's books and this one was just what I wanted. The basic story is Darcy is tired of death and wants to save someone instead. She agrees to share hints of who her assignment is with Gabriel in return for him helping her cross things off her bucket list. Neither trusts the other at first but we all know what will happen. For those who hate a miscommunication trope, you're in the clear. It was quite humorous as well and I love the afterlife world this series is set in. The perfect October read.
