REVIEW: House of Sky and Breath (Sarah J Maas)
Book: House of Sky and Breath
Author: Sarah J Maas
Premise: Bryce and Hunt are trying to get back to normal. But with the rebels chipping away at the Asteri’s power, the threat the rulers pose is growing. As Bryce, Hunt, and their friends get pulled into the rebels’ plans, the choice becomes clear: stay silent while others are oppressed, or fight for what’s right.
HOLY SMOKES! I'm really enjoying this series. There were a lot of characters and a lot of plot lines in this book. This meant that you got plenty of character development but the pace could slow up at times. However, all the different threads kept the story going and kept me engaged.
And then you hit the last 100 pages of this tome. We get some sprinkling of sci-fi/dystopia vibes. There were big twists and reveals that had me screeching. And with the very last sentence, I was converted to the church of SJM. How I'm gonna survive until the next book is beyond me!
