REVIEW: A Court of Silver Flames (Sarah J Maas)
Book: A Court of Silver Flames
Author: Sarah J Maas
Premise: Nesta Archeron can't move past the horrors of the war with Hybern and all she lost in it. Meanwhile, the treacherous human queens who have forged a new alliance, threatening the fragile peace that has settled over the realms. And the key to halting them might very well rely on Nesta facing her haunting pasts.
I was nervous going into this book because all I'd heard was that it was just pure smut. Which it was and I found myself rolling my eyes and waiting for them to get back to the story. There was a plot around politics and alliances, but I didn't find that as compelling as all of the character development.
If you liked A Court of Mist and Fury, this book is similar vibes. Nesta is dealing with the trauma from the previous books and Cassian is helping her. I loved reading about the group of female warriors being trained and the female friendships being developed.
